Safety observation report cards are found on almost all large construction sites today, they are a valuable tool that allow any person report on safety issues.
With that said many construction management teams find the system challenging to run with issues stemming form the time consuming administration efforts involved in the system.
To run a SOR system on a large site you must:
Each of the items listed above come with there own issues:
To address the issues we have created a fully electronic SOR system.
There are a couple of parts to the system, firstly the SOR kiosk's which are connected to the Internet. These can be positioned at a number of locations around a site and are extremely easy to use through a touch screen interface.
SOR's submitted directly from the kiosk immediately update a live spreadsheet on submission eliminating the need to collect SOR's. This gives safety teams access to the very latest SOR's data.
For sites utilising an international work force we have the capability to offer the SOR form in multiple languages and automatically translate written observations back to English for the management team.
Once SOR's are submitted a visual display of graphs within the dashboards web-portal allows for tailored metrics to be viewed by all.
Finally the contents/options on the SOR form can be updated remotely should areas or contractors need to be added.
